December 3rd is the day when Megan Boswell will find out whether the state of Tennessee will seek the death penalty against her.
“On that date, the state is supposed to determine whether or not there’ll be enhanced punishment, which would be the death penalty or life without parole or not,” is what the WJHL folks quoted District Attorney General Barry Staubus as saying.
Knowing that his client is up a creek without a paddle, Brad Sproles has asked the court to move the case to somewhere that is not there, in Sullivan County. “I expect we’ll have to go further out,” is what the WJHL folks quoted Brad Sproles as saying.
“Further out,” they may go. But “further out,” want ease the blow. You see folks, the one thing that lawyers like Brad Sproles don’t seem to understand is that the dead don’t lie. A dead body tells you everything. It tells you how it died. It tells you when it died. But most importantly, it tells you who killed it.
Due to the state finding Evelyn Boswell dead and buried in Megan Boswell’s daddy’s backyard, the state has added murder charges, along with the 11 charges of lying to the police about where Evelyn Boswell was, onto Megan Boswell’s case.
Therefore, when looking at all of the events and circumstances surrounding this case, I doubt very seriously that moving the case will change anybody’s mind. That evidence remains the same.
Oh well, sucks for her!
